The foundation of Woodworkz Excelsior was laid long before the company’s official launch, rooted in the early passion and innate drive of its founder, Lishawn Osmond.

Lishawn’s industrious nature showed itself early. By age seven, he was already washing cars to earn his own way and fund his ambitions. Years later, while attending secondary school, that same work ethic drew him to the woodworking. While most teenagers spent their school breaks relaxing, Lishawn immersed himself in local joiner shops, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. He quickly realized that the core principles of woodworking (neatness, patience, and precision), perfectly aligned with his personality.

At age 18, determined to turn his passion into a lifelong career, Lishawn began searching for institutional training. This quest led him to a woodworking program in Trinidad. Recognizing his potential, Mrs. Shamfa Cudjoe Lewis stepped in to support his journey; providing the essential tools he needed to complete his studies.
